A Thin Place is Charlotte Fielden's first published collection of short stories. Some of them have been previously published in literary reviews. These stories will take you to the place where the real becomes the surreal, hate becomes demonic, where the day-to-day becomes the miraculous, and love a mystical union. "A Thin Place is an accomplished piece of fiction, or should I say, ten accomplished pieces of fiction. No, I was right the first time: the collection amounts to more than the sum of its parts." - John Robert Colombo, author and anthologist. "There is a thin place where the veil between the ordinary world and the Other World is reduced to transparent gossamer... the soul awakens, imagination is captivated, and raw, naked, universal truth is found." - Michael Valpy in the Globe & Mail. |
Author Bio: Charlotte Fielden, born in Toronto, has lived in Paris, Montreal, and North Carolina. She has written for stage, television, radio, and film, and her short stories and poetry have been included in various anthologies and literary reviews. After twenty years in practice as a holistic psychotherapist, Charlotte returned full-time to her first love - her writing. Since her literary return she has published PALATINE HILL, a historical novel, and MESSAGES LIKE MEMORIES, the sequel to her first novel, CRYING AS SHE RAN. She is currently working on the sequel that will complete the Weil trilogy. A THIN PLACE is her first collection of short stories. |
